Details:
This comet continues its progress in front of the constellation Andromeda. It is at the bottom right of the frame. Judging by adjacent stars and Mirach's Ghost, its current apparent magnitude is around 9.5 at most. A veil of thin cirrostratus ahead of yet another strong Pacific front meant that only an inverted monochrome made the grade tonight. Details: 18 x 58 sec frames, ISO1600, 300mm lens, f/4.5, Pentax K-3. Stacking and initial prep in PixInsight, final pp in darktable.
