Another great night in Abisko! Tonight I spent most of the evening helping a few of our guides prepare for their Nightly Aurora Photo Tours in Abisko National Park. After I finished helping the guides I could not resist the temptation to take my snowmobile out and play in the fresh layer of snow that had fallen earlier today - and I am glad I did! The ride started in heavy snowfall & cloud cover but as time progressed the sky began to clear and Abisko showed its true colors. The hole in the clouds slowly grew larger a powerful aurora display developed overhead. As the lights intensified I knew what had to be done so I stopped the machine, pulled over and took a selfie :) Lets hope that my next adventure in Abisko is this exciting!
