Details:
I captured these rare blue starters while recording a distant thunderstorm on the evening of August 24 2015. Any form of upper-atmospheric lightning is pretty rare, especially in my region! I think I saw them with the naked eye but I never knew if it was just "normal" lightning or something else, I confirmed my suspicions when I watched my videos on my computer a few days later. It is the first time ever I catch something like this!
