Details:
There is a lot of activity on the solar surface today with many lovely filaments of all shapes and sizes, especially the ones that are forming a rotating pattern around the active sunspot AR2434.
There are also a lot of faculae surrounding the new sunspot groups AR2436 and AR2437 (on the eastern limb), which looks very nice visually in the eyepiece of the 80mm refractor telescope with the solar filter attached.
The H-alpha image was taken with a Lunt 80mm solar telescope and a Canon 700D camera, there are 20 images stacked in RegiStack6 and processed in PS CS4.
The white light image was taken with a Meade 80mm refractor with a glass solar filter attached to the front lens and a Canon 700D camera, 20 images were stacked in RegiStax6 with settings @1/400th second exposure and ISO200.
