Boeing C17 with contrail videographed at cruise altitude through binoculars 7x50 with Sony TRV-740 camcorder @ maximal optical zoom. Note difference in contrail with an A380, (the other movie).

Yes the trails are different. Also the sun/ illumination angle and most likely the altitude, the water vapor, etc in the airspace they are flying thru. Many variables.... unless they are flying in formation, side-by side.
