Details:
Farewell active region 2422. I've been watching the development of AR2422 for the past week on spaceweather.com as it grew from almost nothing on the Eastern limb into a spectacular set of sunspots periodically crackling away with minor solar flares. It's still looking spectacular as it approaches the Western limb and is an ideal target for backyard observers.
