Details:
Bright light, thought it was a star but was brighter than any one I'd ever seen. My zoomed in version doesn't look as bright. First photo shows more how it looked to the naked eye and the second photo is the closest I could zoom without my camera blurring.

What time of night/morning was your shot taken?
If it was in the pre-dawn morning to the east, this was probably Venus.
In your zoomed image, it appears that it is not properly focused.
So, it is likely that the smaller un-zoomed image is also out of focus. This makes identification very difficult.
Better luck next time!
