Details:
On the 4th of April 2014, 2 weeks after the spring equinox, I photographed the image of the Sun projected through the keyholes on the wall in the staircase of my apartement building. The story was published here on SpaceWeather on the middle of the page http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=07&month=04&year=2014 and http://spaceweathergallery.com/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=96095 . I then concluded that the same event would occur again approximately 2 weeks before the autumn equinox and I was ready to make a timelapse. In fact it did not only happen on a particular day but was visible for some days. But the weather only let me capture the setting Sun on the 8th and the 11th of September. This time the upper keyhole was obstructed so I could only observe one Sun at a time :-) By adding all the frames into a single image, the light path not only shows the upside-down trails of the setting Sun but also gives a projection of a backlit view through the window. So the clouds and the plants on the window sill are easily seen in the timelapse movie I have put up on vimeo.com/140217568 . Hope you enjoy /*Peter R
