Details:
On Sept 10 the aurora kicked up and promised a fine display early in the evening but faded out, as seen from southern Alberta. These are shots with a fish-eye lens, showing the main curtains to the north as well as an isolated arc through the zenith that changed rapidly in time-lapse photos. But it, too, faded after half an hour. Both are 20 second exposures at f/3.5 and at ISO 6400.
