Details:
I was set up to do an all night time-lapse animation on September 8, 2015 at Cherry Springs Dark Sky Park when an aurora occurred twice in the morning. The first auroral display started at 1:20 am. I used a Full Spectrum T2i camera with an 8mm fisheye lens. When the second aurora began around 4:45 am, I re-aimed the fisheye lens to the North to capture the aurora, but I forgot to rotate it. For the second aurora, I set up a Full Spectrum T5i camera with a lens set at 18mm and took exposures every minute at ISO 1600. Clouds are usually black above Cherry Springs because of the absence of light pollution. But the higher clouds this night were lit up with golden light from the distant aurora to the North.
