Details:
We had just arrived at sunset to Badlands National Park, South Dakota for a two day camping/photography trip. Around 8:45pm, Sept 7, as we were shooting a distant thunderstorm to the east, the auroras went crazy to our north! This was the first aurora display I had seen and will be a night to remember. Details: Nikon D700, 4000 ISO, F2.8, 25 sec exposure.
