Details:
My magnetometer started going crazy late afternoon yesterday and into the night as a G2 geomagnetic storm, sparked by fast flowing solar wind and a southerly IMF, raged around our planet. I could tell from the data rolling of my monitor that this was a significant event likely to spark bright aurora, even to lower latitudes.
