Details:
After seeing for the past 3 days magnificent Aurora photos of the ongoing geomagnetic storm, I became very frustrated to be home in the Netherlands. And then instead of staying frustrated, I just jumped in a plane to Helsinki on Friday afternoon, rented a car, drove about 100km north to escape light pollution, and I got rewarded by my first Auroras of the season! What a show! For about 20 minutes, the Aurora was quite strong, displaying fast moving needles despite the full moon behind me! I never saw such southern Auroras before, and it was well worth the trip! ISO 1250 - 6s - f/2.8 Check out my Facebook page for more photos of this night once I get home: https://www.facebook.com/rez.rezphotography
