Details:
Got to love this time of year when the noctilucent cloud and aurora seasons overlap. This was taken at the start of what turned out to be a great night in Nairn, with a bright and active aurora display and a few meteors as well. The first image was taken at 2220 UTC with a Canon 6d, using an Olympus Zuiko 50mm lens to get a closer look at the nlc, f4.0, ISO 1600, 4 secs. I used a Sigma 24mm lens for the wider shot, f2.8, ISO 1600, 4 secs, at 2224 UTC
