Details:
Saw about 100 Persieds in 2 1/2 hrs early on Aug 13th. This is the best meteor I captured. In the second image I increased the saturation to show the intricate colors due to different gases ionizing in the upper atmosphere. Nikon D7000, 15-second exposure, ISO 3200, f/3.5, 18mm lens (100% crop). Taken at 4:11 am PDT, 3 minutes before astronomical twilight started, in the constellation Cepheus, 63 degrees altitude.
