Details:
Photo 5278 captured a brilliant and colorful Perseid fireball at 1:18am MDT on 08/13/15. This is a 30 sec exposure with a Nikon D700 DSLR camera and a 16mm Nikkor lens at f3.2 and ISO 3200. Photo 5391 captured another fireball between the clouds at 2:29am MDT with the same camera setup.

Nice - especially the second one! This morning at about 03:30 UT (10:30 pm CDT on the 12th) I saw a beautiful Perseid like this one, with the green part of the train much longer, fly from just NW of Polaris to about 7 degrees south of Alkaid in the Big Dipper. Perhaps magnitude -1 - the best Perseid I have ever seen!
