Details:
I stayed for night photography at Elbow Lake in Kananaskis Country when I noticed greenish brightness above the lake. As it turned out, it was northern lights. They came out in various colours on my shots. And they continued for hours with varying intensity.

Agreed: spectacular. And aided by the effort taken to remove light pollution from the equation, that and the overall atmospheric clarity - with the clouds - it perfect - to the point that the few clouds in the shot look at first blush like clouds at sunset, except that theyre lit by auroras against a jet black sky!
