Details:
I headed out shortly after midnight EDT. Auroras were already showing, but were pretty much just a faint, low green arc on the northern horizon. Over time they built in intensity, but the color stayed mainly green until nearer to dawn. By the end of the night, auroras were visible over most of the sky, but the brightest activity was still mostly in the northern areas. Shot with Pentax K-5 with Pentax 10-17mm fisheye lens set to 10mm, f/3.5, Mostly ISO 3200 and some at ISO 6400, exposures ranging from 2 to 8 seconds.
