Details:
Strange Aurora as it was caused by the Solar Wind above 600 Km/s and Bz South at 9.1 nt. Started at dusk and grew to overhead by after midnight with some complex components. To the naked eye, it appeared gray to slightly green but the camera captured all the colors. Canon 60D with Tokina 10-18mm f/2.8 lens. Time exposures of 25 to 30 seconds, ISO 5000. The event occured during my nightly Astronomy Program at St Mary Visitor Center at Glacier National Park to the delight of 31 visitors who witnessed Aurora, some for the first time.
