Details:
This image of the conjunction of Jupiter and Venus on June 30th was taken with an Explore
Scientific ED80 and ZWOASI120MC video camera. The bright moon to the left of Jupiter is Ganymede. The
apparent sizes of both planets
were pretty close to the same
last night. The enlarged views of the two planets are
taken from the same frame. An
image of the moon from the prior evening was added to show the relative scale and
apparent proximity of the two planets as then appeared in the sky.
