Details:
This was a really nice display, seen from an airplane over far eastern Canada and the western Atlantic on a flight from Minneapolis to Amsterdam on the night of June 22/23, 2015. The sky was very bright because we were flying at about 52-55 degrees north latitude on summer solstice, but we still saw a good display. Special thanks to my airplane neighbor who allowed me to use his window seat for shooting these pictures! (Nikon D700, ISO 3200, 50-mm f/1.8 and 20-mm f/2.8 lenses, typically between 0.5 and 2 s.

Joseph, these are beautiful. Im jealous--Ive been hoping to luck out on a plane for a long time.
Theres a website called Fightaware thats, as one would expect, all things aviation. They have a hugely popular gallery and while most of the shots are of planes, occasionally theyre from planes. Ive always thought an Aurora shot would be very original and unique on that site and Im sure it would get super high ratings. Id love to post it with full credit to you. Or you should consider it.
