Details:
Sure enough at sunset the clouds disappeared. I was certain we would see aurora borealis so we did not go to bed. I went outside at 11 pm and they had already started. Karen and I set up reclining lawn chairs, mosquito spray, and watched for two hours. The most spectacular ones were directly overhead and to the southwest but there were lights all over the sky. They were nonstop; they were still going when we went to bed at one. Shot with a Sony SEL 1855
