Details:
We had a nice display of noctilucent clouds on the night of June 15/16 on the Canadian Prairies, with a band visible across the NW after nightfall and fading through the short solstice night as the Sun angle dropped. The display then brightened again in the NE before dawn as the Sun angle rose to become more favourable for illuminating the high altitude clouds. I shot this from the badlands of Dinosaur Provincial Park in southern Alberta. It's a 10-second exposure at f/3.2 with the 35mm lens and Canon 60Da at ISO 800. It's part of a 400-frame time-lapse I shot showing the east to west motion of the clouds.
