Details:
This afternoon some cirrostratus formations suddenly appeared over Rio, announcing the arrival of a cold front. One of them, of an unusually bright translucid glow, passed in front of the Sun, producing an spectacular display of iridescence as shown in these photos. A Canon PowerShot SX60 HS camera was used for the shots, taken around 17:18 UT. Two hours later, it would start to rain.
