I was wondering whether or not to call it a shadow, and I think not. If you had a perfectly flat lake surface (like a mirror) and you were imaging the stars instead of Venus, in that zone you would see no stars, and this doesnt mean that you imaged the shadow of the stars.

Thanks for the clarification and thank you for the compliment. Correction: in this image you can see the detail of the reflection of Venus across the lake and a shadow of a mountain pine generated by the light of Venus itself.
