This was taken near Yosemite right off of US Highway 395. I would love some input on exactly what part of the galaxy I was able to photograph (I'm new at this!) Canon EOS Rebel t3 ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: 10s F-Stop f/1.8

Leah, you can download Stellarium, a free desktop planetarium, and set the time and direction (azimuth, altitude) to match when and where you were photographing the sky. That will identify everything that you saw and a whole lot more. Welcome to the dark side!
