Details:
These photos, taken with a Canon PowerShot SX60 HS camera, from 20:40 to 21:10 UT, show Rio`s western sky during evening twilight yesterday. Effects caused by lingering traces of SO2 aerosols from Calbuco volcano are now discrete and fading rapidly. However, they were still able to produce an amazing display by adorning a small area of the sky, centered at 8° altitude and 285° azimuth (W-NW), with a multitude of rare coral, pink and magenta hues. The colorful display lasted from 10 to 40 minutes after sunset, peaking at 20:46 UT.
