Milky Way and the road. You can witness such a spectacular view if you happen to drive in Chilean Andes in April. The brightest part of the Milky Way, the bulge, is rising over the mountains illuminating the night landscape. The sky at high altitude is so clear that you can actually see the Gegenschein too (see faint white glow in the upper left corner of the image). Atmospheric airglow brings a little bit of green cast to the scene.
