Lyrid Fireball
Taken by Sam Cornwell on April 23, 2015 @ I'd become a bit disillusioned waiting for just one shooting star to light up the sky and had nearly given up hope. Suddenly a huge streak of green and blue light slowly blazed across the sky slowly, getting brighter before vanishing. The smoke trail it left hung around for about 30 seconds after. Details: Canon 5Dm2, 17-40mm, ISO 3200, 30sec.

At least you photographed one! It was a very disappointing meteor show. I have seen more on a random night, than last night.
