Details:
After spending the last five months in New Mexico I returned to Alberta earlier this week and tonight the Northern Lights greeted me with a nice display. I headed to an abandoned homestead to take some images, and to a prairie pond, hoping for some aurora reflections. The display took on some nice structure for about 15 minutes as a substorm hit though the Lights never got very bright or colourful. But they did briefly reach up the northern sky in tall rays and curtains. But the display soon reverted to a diffuse and patchy glow across the north.
