Details:
I took advantage of the clear skies to try to capture Comet C/2014 Q2 Lovejoy. Even though it is slowly fading, it is still visible in binoculars and, of course, long-exposure photography. This is a stack of 17 images each 120s in duration. Prior to shooting the comet, I captured this image of the Zodiacal Light with Venus, Pleiades and the (winter) Milky Way. The final image was taken after shooting the comet and the Zodiacal Light was still faintly visible. Jupiter can be seen in the upper left and Sirius in the lower left. The trees are slightly blurred as I was using a equatorial tracker and a long exposure.
