I was so excited! I am a truck driver and a long time fan of auroras and have been wanting to see them since I was a child. Living in the south, the chance to see them is rare so once I started driving a truck I was ever alert to forecasts, though the cloud cover was always in the way, or I was way too far south to see them. (Case in point, during the St. Patrick's Day storm I was in southern California... >.<) Needless to say when the storm started tonight I ran out to the truck and snatched out the camera and started clicking. I didn't initially see the aurora until the camera picked it up, but once I knew exactly where to look and what I was looking for I could see them faintly through the break in the clouds! Canon EOS Rebel T3 Lens: EF50mm f/1.8 ISO speed: 1600 Shutter speed: 4.0 sec. Aperture f/3.2
