Details:
I watched in fascination as a large piece of plasma ejected from the eastern limb of the Sun yesterday, you can see quite clearly how the matter was anchored to the Suns surface and then pulled away into space…it was just incredible to watch :-) My images were taken with a Lunt 80mm solar telescope and a Canon 700d with a 2x and 3x barlow lens attached. All images are a composite of two lots of photo’s one for the disc and a longer exposure set for the prominences. The Monochrome image shows a little more detail, all images stacked in RegiStack6 and combined in PS CS4. Eastern limb is to the top and western limb is to the bottom in the images.
