Details:
Here are two images from Sunday, March 22 of the Moon-Venus conjunction, as seen over a pond at the Inn of the Mountain Gods resort, on the Apache lands near Ruidoso, New Mexico. It was an ideal night and the thin clouds that drifted across only added to the photogenic scene. The main portrait-format image is a 3-image high-dynamic range stack, to preserve the highlights in the sky while bringing out the detail in the dark foreground. Both are with the Canon 60Da and a 24mm lens.
