Details:
Last friday I observed the partial (81,5%)solar eclipse from Rehren, Germany. To capture this event I wanted to try something different, so I made two solargraphs of the eclipsed sun from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM. The dimming and narrowing of the trail can be clearly seen in both images. The trail also doesn't appear symmetrical from left to right due to the orientation of the crescent combined with its path through the sky. I was pretty suprised the effect could be so easily captured with nothing more than a tin can and a piece of photographic paper!
