Details:
Here are some big-sky images (14 mm / 114 degrees angle of view) from Central Finland. The display lasted from dusk till dawn here, with several substorms creating large aurora structures in all colors covering most of the sky for long periods of time. An early-evening blue corona and large flickering (ca. 1-2 Hz) structures at 3-4 AM local time were truly impressive as well. It was the finest display we've had for 10+ years; reminded me of the even more fabulous AR9393 storm in 2001. I'm so glad we had perfectly clear skies - and not even Moon in the sky! All images with Nikon D800 and Nikkor 14 mm, 3200 ASA - untouched from camera.
