Here’s a new one to me… Aurora Borealis in the East and West (as well as North), arching overhead like a rainbow? Yesterday Earth was impacted by the strongest magnetic storm of the current solar cycle! However, the storm wasn’t particularly strong by the time it was dark here on the west coast so I’m not sure if this Auroral arch is due to the high intensity of the storm earlier in the day or what may have caused it, but it’s something I’ve never seen before. Anyone out there know the cause or have theories on this?
Shot in the Central Oregon High Desert on 3/17/2015.
