Another great night in Abisko! The first evening of our last Aurora Photo Expedition of the 2014-15 aurora season was a HUGE success. The auroras started with a calm display that slowly developed into an east-west facing hydrogen arc - as sure fire sign that the lights are about to go absolutely crazy. At around 12:00 AM the arc started to break into several wave like patterns and then within about a minute a large corona was dancing across the sky from one horizon to another. We have seen some stunning displays this season but tonight will easily be remembered as one of the best. It is hard to believe that the Arctic aurora season will be over in just a few short weeks. What an amazing year it has been! Watch the show live here: http://lightsoverlapland.com/index.php/webcam
