Im a few miles north of you guys. I tried to photograph some of the beryllium release (?) experiments back in the 1980s. This is sorta what it looked like after the initial dispersal, which looked just like a faint firework. Kinda funny, after about a year the program ended and the phone number was transfered to another department that DEMANDED to know how I got their phone number!!!
