Another great night in Lapland! Tonight our group traveled a few kilometers north of Abisko to Låktatjåkka, the highest hotel in Sweden for a presentation about the northern lights and introductory aurora photography course. After a brief presentation about the science behind the northern lights we went outside and started to search for the auroras. After only a few minutes of waiting, a large green arch developed in the northern part of the sky and then without warning the entire sky was illuminated with spirals, curtains, hydrogen arcs and coronas. It was truly a spectacular event to witness! This season just keeps delivering one incredible display after another!
