For a few minutes this evening the conditions were right for the formation of a moon dog, (not sure what the technical term is) but great to see it for the first time. Would have been better without the light pollution. Canon EOS-M 18mm ISO400 2secs

The moon dog is called a paraselene, the halo is a 22 degree halo and the arc is a parhelic circle (athough helic is sun of course)? from Richard Fleets website
