Details:
Comet Lovejoy was easily a naked object again tonight at my dark site, though the tail was fainter than the previous week and was best seen through binoculars.
The image field is 2.0 x 0.6 degrees and is a mosaic of seven frames shot along the tail (full-resolution image is 73 megapixels). It was captured using an 11" EdgeHD at F7.0 and Canon 60Da. Each individual frame was 200 seconds in duration and taken at ISO6400. Dark frame subtraction was also applied.
Sky conditions: Transparency-Good, Seeing-Good. Temperature: -21C ... another cool night on this part of the planet!
