Hi, Here is a link to an animation of the tail of Comet Lovejoy's tail over about 3.5 hours. There is quite a bit of detail and change over that time. It is composed of 211 x 60s images, taken with a 14" telescope at f/1.9. http://paquettefamily.ca/astro/lovejoy

Beautiful imaging work and especially the videos! I watched both. i was intrigued more so by the Linear Stretch version as at 10.93 seconds you have an arrow pointing at midway into the tail. Can you indicate some explanation or text as to what you are pointing out in the tail? I would presume some noticeable developments there.

Thanks again for any further info,

Hi Mark,

The line in the image isnt an arrow, it is just a satellite going through.

Cheers,

Andre
