Details:
These images of comet Lovejoy were taken Monday and Tuesday nights under clear skies. The large image was taken with an Explore Scientific ED127 (a stack of 75 45-second frames) and the wide angle image was image was taken with a Nikon D3100 at 70mm F4.5 and is a stack of 90 45-second frames. Its difficult to get really clear crisp skies in the Pacific Northwest since there always seems to be some amount of moisture in the atmosphere.
