Details:
This was the waxing crescent Moon near Venus (at left) and Mercury (below), in a triangular trio on the evening of January 21, 2015. I shot this from just east of Silver City, New Mexico, which provide the lights below. This is a 3-exposure high-dynamic-range composite to better record the large range in brightness from the bright sky to dark ground. I used a Canon 60Da and 50mm Sigma lens to frame the scene.
