Last night I got my first chance to see and shoot C/2014 Q2 Lovejoy. After shooting the comet for 39 minutes I turned the camera to M42 to compare the sizes. Images where shot with a Nikon D800E and Nikkor 180mm/f2.8 AI-S lens at f4. Lovejoy exposure 79x30 sec at ISO 800. M42 exposure18x30 sec at ISO 800. Darks, flats and bias was also taken for calibration.
