Details:
Comet Lovejoy emerged from the moonlit skies of the past several sub-zero nights of the Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina as a somewhat dim naked eye object beside Orion. Temps had warmed to 10 degrees. This shot was made between 8:19 & 8:30pm from Banner Elk using a 300mm f2.8 (at f4) for 20 stacked 30 second exposures on an iOptron Sky Tracker - maiden voyage for my use of the sweet little tracker (thanks Jon). It held the 5.5 lb lens & a 1.2 lb D5200 fairly well.
