Details:
This was Mercury below Venus in the desert twilight of southern New Mexico, on Sunday, January 4, 2015, in superbly clear skies. This is a high dynamic range stack of 5 exposures to record detail in both the bright sky and dark foreground. I shot this from a high viewpoint at the City of Rocks State Park south of Silver City.
