Comet Lovejoy (C/2014 Q2)
Taken by Mike Broussard on December 31, 2014 @ C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) on Dec 31, 2014, 04:21 UT. 16×60 sec @ ISO 1600, 16×240 sec @ ISO 400, Televue TV-85 at F/5.6, IDAS-LPS, Hutech Canon XS. StarStreaks and StarFreeze versions. Despite a bright moon nearby, Comet Lovejoy Q2 still displays a bright coma and a nice length of tail. I have been clouded out since Christmas, so I didn’t care too much if the moon was out or not. I just wanted to get anything I could of this guy.
