Details:
The comet steadily gets higher in USA skies, now at 24d here near McDonald Obs., TX. Bright core at ~6th mag. and tail reported to be 5-7d in length in wider field images. Close up in Meade 10" SCT f/6.3, Canon T4i, iso 6400, single 60s exp, 1d field with color and neg. images on 2014/12/21 UT 12:53 The SkyXPro chart shows the field.

hello,iv ben wondering what happend to the lovejoy comet,i think about 2 years ago it was spotted by terry lovejoy in austraila it made it through the sun where others have burened up before they got through,something was said about that it wouldent be seen maby for a year or so,well im glad its back,makes it interesting because of my name is lovejoy,not a very common name,i wish i had a telascope so i could see it,but thanks to spaceweather & my computer i can see it there...thank you.rich lovejoy..
